When my Sony 4K tv is off for around 4 hours and I turn it on I get a no signal message. I have used 3 different xfinity boxes and the one I'm using now is a PR150BNM.
When the tv is on all day no problems. When it's off for a hour and I turn it on no problem. But when it's off for extended hours 4+ I get no signal and have to reset box.
When I got the no signal error I even tried switching tv's and the error was on the other tv until I turned of box and back on again. This has been going on for 2 weeks. I gone to the xfinity store and tried multiple boxes. I have a tech coming in a few days but this is driving me nuts.
When I get the no signal error I've tried moving the hdmi on the tv from 1 to 2 to 3 to hdmi 4 still no signal until I turn the box off and on again.
I've tried multiple hdmi cables. Any ideas?
I just can't understand why it happens only when the tv is off for a few hours.
Does the TV indicate it is still displaying that item (for example HDMI4)? check before you change power on the set top box. The TV may be using its own sensor to change ports? Is the power LED on the X1 equipment On or Off when you find the input not working? Instead of power off, have you tried pressing the power button to put it in standby if power LED on the STB is set to display?
