the audio normally gets to your TV via the HDMI cord that runs from your TV to the X1 set top box. Do you have an amplifier/receiver too?
you might want to change ends of the HDMI cable (swap the plug end to end) if you don't have another cable you can use to test.
check on your X1 menu that you don't have SAP turned on. Press the xFinity button >> gear(settings) >> Device Settings >> Audio and check to see the setting for both SAP that they are off.
