IF you pay a separate charge for at least one DVR (in other words the package you have does not include the rental charge of all your DVRs) then you have to have rate code 'x1 Anyroom DVR service' added to your account before the 'free' service. (If your plan is covering 1+ DVR's at $19.99/month, it is a great deal). If you contact billing they can offer a reduction for 12 months of that $10/momth charge down to $7.99/month.
once the cloud dvr is 'on' and you have logged in and accepted the terms and conditions, you can download any completed recording to an ipad/iphone/android device to play back later. Playback of downloaded files need no internet at all (can even be in airplane mode) and will not expire for 30 days. Once downloaded the show will still appear on the x1 devices but won't play there until the program is returned (removed from the portable device).
