what you are describing is called latency (time before it appears your action/request happens). the latency is due to your set top box having to issue commands to a comcast server that is sending you the stream that you are watching. It is normal and is caused by the requirement that streaming files are not to be buffered for on-demand assets. 

 

Some latency issues my be caused by bad signal levels and/or noise on the line that can add to that latency. call 800-896-8678 and ask TV tech support to check your signal levels.
