I have found this to not be true, and I'm wondering why. Right now, I have more than 40 programs on the Cloud that do not exist on my set-top. Likewise, there are a few programs on my set-top that are not in the Cloud.
Also, does anyone with Comcast know if there are future plans to allow subscribers to direct which DVR they want programming saved to? I would find this immensely useful, as I suspect others would, as well.
you say above 'my dvr' inplying that you have only one. the x1 uses whole home DVR only. the TiVo system allows you to record where you want if you wish to have that feature.
The x1 service includes *up to" (in home) 6 tuners to record on per DVR. some older x1 xg1 DVRs only support 5 of the 6 but the 6th will record in the cloud if scheduled. Additionally, any programming that should record in your home but can't due to technical problems like cable cuts, local home power outages, etc., will cause the recordings to be made only on the cloud DVR. Sometimes deletions on your home DVR do not get passed to the cloud DVR and therefore are not deleted as they normally are.
