I have checked the settings, as the tech showed me on Thursday, and they are still correct. I have restarted the box again and again, and refreshed the system, and again, none of these things have solved the problem. I notice the problem is particularly bad around 8 pm EDT.

 

This comes three months after a neverending saga to get the cable outlet in my living room wired. The tech installed the wireless set top box in my living room because, even though a postwire had been done, several techs were unable to run the postwire up to my living room cable outlet. My main set top box (which is now in the bedroom) is working fine. My bedroom outlet is working fine. The wireless set top box had seemed to solve the problem with the living room, but now I'm having this freezing issue. Its gotten to the point where, since I moved in a little more than a year ago, I have had to call Comcast, on average, about every 3 months for an issue, and this is the latest one. To say I'm frustrated is an understatement.


next time you are having problems, use a desk/laptop to use the stream web site or a smart device to run the Xfinity Stream app and watch same channel. Is it having the same problem? the wireless Set top box is using the same data path as the smart device and/or desk/lap top use.
