With that said, I would suspect the problem is on the server side rather than an app / browser issue. Good news is that the HD channels are present on the MobileApp version of Xfinity Stream (Android -- I don't Apple iOS). If you use the Android Xfinity App to set up your Xfinity DVR channels, the recordings will show up on your Roku/Browser in HD. The HD channels will still be missing but you can get the recorded HD streaming to your Roku. Hope this help .. also hope that Xfinity can use this bit to issolate whatever issue is causing the HD to be removed from Roku and Brower interfaces.
separating the issues: for the beta Roku program, currently no HD is given (other than local channels) unless there is a line on your Comcast bill that says you pay $10 for the HD technology fee. This is just part of getting the Roku connectivity ready for full release.
you can check to be sure you have all the channels that your package includes by opening on your android the Xfinity My Account app. select the TV tab and at the top is a link to touch to view all the channels in your package. If any are missing from that list, or if they appear in that list but your computer will not play those channels then contact 800-Comcast and select billing and ask them to check your account and if necessary perform a 'deep background account refresh'.
