I've got a Netgear CM500 modem (purchased) and I have a question that I can't find an answer online about. This is also my first cable modem. It seems that the upstream LED likes to start a regular flashing for a while at random times, not the usual steady green. It flashes green too, not the orange color that indicates a problem. I've been online while that upstream green LED was flashing and I haven't noticed any issues with speed either. It goes away if I reboot the modem, then will return at random times, usually at night or in the morning. The Netgear user manual doesn't even list this as an LED mode to look out for with the upstream LED, so I'm stumped. Flashing orange upstream LED, there's information about it in the manual. Flashing green upstream LED, not a thing. Any ideas? Is it a problem? Here's my Xfinity Speed Test results, although the LED was not flashing during the test.

you might want to go to http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/CM500/CM500_UM_Comcast_TWC_19May2015.pdf

and view page 6 for position of the LED to be sure you have the right one in mind. per that pdf a blinking upstream LED's function is not defined. If that is indeed the LED blinking and you have verified the model number, might be good to contact Netgear tech support. If you do contact them and get an answer pelae post back here.
