Rusty, tried to tell you a couple of posts up in this same thread. This is not the same issue, the issue you are talking about only effects SurfBoard modems.

 

The issue here is with a firmware bug in the Arris TG1682G which sometimes prevents access to the admin tool when in bridge mode. When the device is not in bridge mode there is no problem.


actually per tech sites I have seen on twitter news feed or ? it said the cable MSOs were disabling all devices affected until firmware upgrade was installed. Nothing direct from comcast but I'm guessing that this was done temporarily and now should not be blocking anyone at all unless not upgraded.
