I went to the service center here in Oak Brook, IL to pickup the home setup bundle (new DVR / settop box combo + X11 Voice Remote), and brought everything home. The setup went flawlessly, until the screen where it asks to pair the remote (also see video attached for reference).

 

So long story short. When I press and hold down the "Setup" button on the X11 remote, the LED at the top stays red for about three seconds, then turns green; immediately after turning green (or waiting a few seconds, doesn't matter), I then press the "XFINITY" button on the remote. Nothing happens, but the LEDs on the remote flash in this order: Green, Red, Green, Red, but stays at the "Let's setup your remote" screen with the three (3) steps listed.

I'm tech savy and in the Q&A field myself, so I don't believe I am doing anything wrong so far.

 

I've even skipped these steps and checked the menu settings in the "Remote Settings" screen to make sure voice control is turned "On", and it is. 

 

After spending 2+ hours on the phone with technical support, they've inisisted that it is not the settop box, but the remote. Twice. On the third remote (exhibiting the exact same behavior), I decided to return it once again to the service center (where they know me by name walking in now), but the fourth remote is doing the same thing. All four remotes have synced successfully with the Samsung TV by: 

 

Holding "Setup" until LED turns green

Enter code 12051

LED flashes twice.

Now volume, channel buttons, XFINITY, and all buttons work...except voice. 

Again, when trying to pair the remote with the settop box (now the fourth one), LEDs flash: Green, Red, Green, Red, and voice control doesn't work. I am never prompted for the 3 digit code.

 

Now that this is my fourth remote, is there anyone that can shed some light on this or offer assistance? The service center has already closed, so I cannot obtain what would now be my 5th remote.

 

I have also taken a video of these steps in an mp4 format and if requested, I'd be more than happy to provide.

 

Please help.

would the model number of the set top box you are trying to pair with the remote (for voice) RNG150 by chance?
