Every morning I wake up Satellite box #1 is frozen with some message about the nightly update. When I walk downstairs and check the tv I have to go through the setup process on the DVR for the remote. Enter the last 4 of my phone number, pair the remote, enter the codes for the television, enter the codes for the soundbar, then everything works normally... until the update gets pushed that night. The morning comes and I have to go through the process all over again.

Two suggestions: change out the bedroom set top box for an XG2 (has its own tuners and won't go off on a channel playing other than to do a nightly reboot. second would be to swap out that DVR and make sure you request a 6 tuner model (not version 1 of the Pace DVR). Exception on DVR: hopefully you are hooked up via HDMI to the DVR and not component cables. The newer DVRs do not have component cable output jacks.
